Butch McCarthy has been painting in fits and starts since he was a child. He works with acrylic paints on canvas and wood board from his home studio in New Bedford, Massachusetts. His eclectic style includes still life, landscapes, seascapes, abstract and whimsical object studies.
 

His paintings have been displayed at Four Corners Gallery in Tiverton RI, Frying Pan Gallery in Wellfleet and Orleans MA, 6 ½ Bridge Street Gallery in Padanaram MA, The Drawing Room in New Bedford MA, Kettle Black Gallery in New Bedford MA, The Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River MA and The Art Loft in Fairhaven MA.
